My beloved girlfriend lives a stone throw from a forrest, so after the rain, she finds in her garden whole armies of bloodthirsty snails. Last week we decided to experiment with food and gathered a couple of them to prepare a quick snack for ourselves. However, after a brief browse on the Internet, we found out that what we thought to be a "quick snack", included in fact at least 3 hours' preparation. What is more, we discovered that snails in Poland are only allowed to be picked in May, so the poor animals after we washed them up had to be released to their natural environment. Lucky them!
P.S. I'm in possesion of a nice recipe for snails if anyone should be interested.
