Hi Brian,
I like the carefree mood to this photo. A nice in action shot with great colours and composition.
Regards
Wanda

Hi Brian, these look like Vietnamese girls cycling around Bagan. Did you bring some with you?:) The image has lost somethign in the scanning but not the carefree attitude.

I like the composition here, Brian--you caught the ladies at just the right time. Having them in the shot says that this is a living place, of everyday activities, not just a site of ancient temples. It's a very nice composition, thanks to the placement of the tree and the ladies. It's not very sharp (maybe from scanning), and it's oversaturated a bit, but it's still effective. Regards, Ken.

Hi Brian!
Great shot from Bagan.
I like your composition with the two ladies on bicycles in the foreground very much.Good timing and a great contrast of this amazing architecture with the wonderfzul blue sky.
Regards,Leo

Brian: your note to me was fully informative. Thanks. Here's a great little pic of beautiful girls on bikes - an irresistable target. fine work - AND WITH WITH FILM... BEST,, C

This really puzzled me when I first saw it, Brian - two Vietnamese girls cycling in Bagan? I'd never seen that. Then I read your reply to Elaine and all was revealed! Did they pose for you? If so, I think it would have felt better balanced if they had been off centre, on the right hand side riding into the picture rather than right in front of the temple. But nevertheless still a very interesting and unusual. The technical quality is lacking a bit (there are a few marks in the sky). I read your reply to Ken. The large size of the image shouldn't result is such lack of sharpness (in fact it should improve it) so I think there was something wrong with with your scanning settings (unless it was done on a very low quality scanner). Cheers . . . David

Hello Brian,
I have seen this fantastic photo of yours before and I have always been distracted when I have gotten around to critiquing it. I would like to spend much more time critiquing but my boss would fire me on the spot if I did too much of this at work. I am taking advantage of my Sunday afternoon and getting caught up again. This is a marvelous image which has the best of everything: great lighting, lovely ladies riding their bikes, and fantastic composition. The ancient Myanmar architecture was perfectly placed in the background. This photo would be a perfect photo for the homepage of the Trek Earth gallery, for it is the quintessential travel shot! Outstanding work!
Stan
