Photographer’s Note
Got one of my good captures for the outriggers. This one just stands out because of the oncoming look, the colors from the day, some water action and from the timing of the paddlers. Iso 800, handheld in 1-2 feet of swells. I did pump up the reds, yellows and blues, but not to the point of being over saturated but in line what you saw out there that day. Sharpened and dust removal were also done on this.
I was able to take this and print a 24x36 on canvas and it really turn out great, especially in the blurred area's. The iso 800 shows up on the faces, but it does give the gritty feel of what is happening. It also helps that there was another canoe close behind to give a sense of urgency for the paddlers.
