It seems we've eaten all the fish in the sea, fish stocks on the verge of extinction. So we create memorials for our children "Once the seas were full of fish, see", now there are just memories.

Just before posting I watched the UK news, floods, rain, and the wettest, worst summer ever. I turned on the PC. BBC news website, 1000's dying in Central and Southeast Europe from the heatwave. 40c tempreture.

The world is going mad!

Hello to all TE friends, enduring wet or hot in Europe, or snow in Bonos Aires!

Hi David,
Nice view of this fish in the sky, interesting artwork. I like the very saturated colors here, and the direction of the fish is really like under water life. Kind of surreal qith the poles and the blue sky. And yes, yournote is right: the world is going mad and we're all going to be fried.
Meanwhile, enjoy.
Saludos,
Daniel

Hello David,

a special elements with a great graphical aspects you seen and I like the way you composed those simply,it's very good work and....sad about the UK news,Thanks for posting it,
Best Regards
M

Hello David. I find this a really original and interesting shot. It's a shame you have so much spare blue sky at the top left, maybe you could have used your space better had you angled the camera somewhat. Nevertheless, a very good photo. Well done.

Surprenante composition j'aime beaucoup, bravo. Le fait que les poissons soit orientés différemment est très intéressant.

Hi David,
I liked the blue- the fishes.
However what you say in your note is also excelent! The world is sick...

Long time since I've been to Southport, David. My grandparents retired there in the 1970's to look after the Salvation Army citadel on Shakespeare Street. This is a lovely shot. Nice angles, very sharp and stunning colours. I could see it in a magazine. Best wishes, Paul.

Hello David,
Very interesting object/artwork with excellent, a bit graphical composition, and the whole picture seems so colourful! Really nice work, good seen and captured.
I would to thank you about your Photographer's Note. I share your oppinion. I think we - the people are guilty about the climate changes because of our human activity. While in UK there is floods and rain, in Bulgaria and Greece is terrible drought and hottest tempreture from 100 year ago. Nature is going mad...
Thanks for the beautiful picture and take care!
Silvia

Really well seen David, it really stands out well in the thumbnail. Very different and striking colours. Dull down here again ;(

Hi David,
Interesting view of the artwork with some fish reflecting the blue color while a few are seen as silhouettes. Your composition is well-designed with the artwork filling the frame. Really nice blue there. Hope the floods are over soon. Regards,
Hakan

A nice, unusual shot David. Works really well and the colours are great. This weather in the UK is unbelievable.
Well done.
Leon.

Hi David,

Excellent shot of extict fish swimming around in heaven. You have made very good use of the lighting conditions and I I really like the black ones swimming in the other direction. With such bad weather in the UK it must have been pretty difficult to take a photo with a perfect blue sky. Have a nice week end!

Cheers,

Ulf

Hi David!

This is a splendid, surprising shot, very original and fascinating. The subject is excellent and so is your POV and composition. Perfect light managment and a great note to accompany and give a great impact. Congratulations!

Hercules

PS. Yes, this is MY boat, in my last post. To be more exact, one of my boats, the smalest one :-)

David,
A nice graphic image.
These sky fishes are original, and you caught them with beautiful contrats.
Regards,
JB.

A very nice reminder. Wonderful perspective. Love it. Sothy

Hi David!

Such an interesting pov you have chosen to present to us this sculpture! The pov looking to the sky, the intense light, and the sculpture itself, make a great composition, and makes feel like seeing more!

Cheers have a great day!

Miguel

Hi David,
ongoing wet weather with actual floodings in Switzerland and Germany. Your collection of fishes is nice and has a good, strong contrast against that sky. I needed to travel to Hungary to get such a sky and you got that in England. The low POV makes the impression very strong.
Lieben Gruss, Ulf

Hi David, original idea well taken!
i like the fish... in the water :))))
bravo!
ciao!
Valeria

you pointed out the same problem 2 weeks before i did with this beautiful shot david and i just see it now... minimalistic yet so powerful... you are right, the world is going mad... and we deserve it all...

cheers

Hello David,
Yes I like your note and I can't tell anything else than I am affraid you are right, but I just keep on asking me the same question : What can we do ? Apart from doing what we can, the result of this will not be sufficient...
Nice picture anyway, very symbolic.
If you have an answer or a solution (or part of it), please share it ;-)
Have a nice evening,
Best regards, Christian

Hello David, good POV, the fish look great against the vivid blue sky.
I like the different angles of the fish, are they blown about by the wind?
It is good to see these works of art where everyone can enjoy them.
TFS, regards Jean.

Fish, swimming in the sky. An amazing shot, well-seen, David.

Excellent capture and a graphic setting David. The fishes set agains the deep blue sky is presented in the best way. Very stylish and elegant this work.

Hi David,
Excellent image, the composition is great. I like the splendid colours and the creative realization. Well done! Have a nice week
George

Hi David, a nicely graphic capture, very rhythmic and enjoyable and your note puts them into a new and actual context. A fine combination. TFS!
Have a fine weekend,
Bert

Hi David,

Quite and artistic image you've given us here. The converged verticals really add to the feel. Positioning the brightest fish at the third is perfect. I also think that the two darkest fish on the right really balance the image keeping it from falling away to dramatically to the left. Good note too.

Cheers!

Bob G.

Strong taste that deep blue, but fascinating in some way. Original composition with the fishes. The only thing that really disturbes me is th black frame: I would limit it to a white line, see my ws for a suggestion.

Hi David,
Belle image, bien composée, et surtout, belle idée de photo.
Marie

David, I saw this photo when you posted it but didn't quite know how to critique it! Seeing it again after you commented on one of my pictures I felt I had better say a few words, because I was struck by it at the time and stared for ages!! Unfortunately I don't quite have the critiquing "know-how" to "assess" such a picture, other than to say it is quite magical :-) In some ways it seems you have captured the way a shoal of fish would glisten as they move within shallow water. The two dark fish, moving away from the shoal - for whatever reason - are perfectly placed, be it by design or viewpoint.

And your note - well you couldn't really sum the current sorry state up any better... but there is always optimism, and thankfully around the world people are slowly starting to act :)

Great picture David, and thank you very much for sharing.

casperduppy~~

I like your view in this one, I mean what you were thinking. Very clever shot
Simple and clever

I don't know how you managed to capture that deep and velvet blue sky, the polarizer filter helped you a lot I guess

Well done David

Stelios
