Photographer’s Note
This is the only photo I can salvage from my recent trip to Pontianak. I have never been to Pontianak so it's an exciting trip for me.
Pontianak is a city in the Kalimantan island of Indonesia. The city is being passed through by the Equator, practically making it a damn hot city in middays. The city is a melting pot of Chinese, Dayak, and malay ethnicity, makes it a very unique city in terms of architecture and culinary. There's a lot of good food there.
This spot is a place at the shore of the Kapuas river, right at the side of the Equator tower. Although Kapuas is only a river, it is a very wide river, so a lot of large freighter can enter the city's harbor.
