A different February Photo

Photographer’s Note

February in the whole North Italy is the coldest month, the month of snow, grey sky, low temeprature, frozen streets, windows and frozen people.
Not on the District Lake north of Milan.
This is a view of the past February, when Milan had few degrees up than zero, bad sky, and some snow on the streets.
In Bellagio, 55 km north, there was a small Spring season. Sun, Phoen wind (the hot one), people on the pier at the sun and drinking an aperitivo in the open air bars.

A very nice view of this fine vilage by the lake, the light is superb to make it contrast against the blues, it does not give the impression to be february !
I would clone the few cut gulls at the bottom, not a big deal.

immagino come ti sia rinfrancato con una vista così rilassante.
Bellissima composizione e che bei colori caldi...
Stamattina ho commentato un'altra foto, con i gabbiani, di Salvator. L'idea che questi volatili danno di libertà è pazzesca, probabilmente lo stesso stato d'animo tuo, con il tuo ottimo aperitivo in mano.

Exactly a summer view, but taken during the winter month February.
The colourful buildings to the right care for a excellent contrast against the strong blue sky.
The sea gulls in foreground are the real eye catchers.

Beautiful Paolo! A truly timeless peace. The composition and colors are even good without the flying birds, but capturing the seagulls like this, in their magic dance, has thrown a highly charged atmosphere into your frame. Love the golden hues of the architecture.

What a charming February this is!
I cannot take my eyes off the beautiful town and its tiny, colorful buildings. The gulls are of course the essence of this shot, they are flying nicely in order to fill up your frame. Delightful image. Compliments,

See you are up to some 4 seasons play lately Paolo, but I'm afraid that this for me, the light, the gulls and blue setting by the lake is very difficult to combine with February... But in you I trust; WEll done setting here with a top use of the gulls in their never ending hunt for something to eat..

I like very much this composition with the calm blue of the lake and the almost golden walls of the city. The birds in the foreground add lots of lightness. Very pleasant one.

Great capture with the birds and the blue lake! The sky and lake kind of "float" into each other and the facades of the houses lit by the sun is a very nice contrast. I have been to lake Como a couple of times and I think it is a much nicer place than the lake Garda (where half of Munich's population goes to at summer week-ends). Your photo makes me want to go there again.... Haven't been there for some years, now that I think of it.

I love the movement of the birds in this one! With them in the forgeound and flying off into the distance it gives the shot nice depth. Great composition with the buildings off centre and the wide expanse of water. Nice and clear with good colour.
