La fete de la mer (Festival of the sea) in Boulogne-sur-Mer gathered numerous sailing boats and even two really tall ships - the "Belem" of France and the "Mercedes" of the Netherlands. The jungle of masts, ropes, spars, with the setting sun in the background... What else does a man need? La vie est belle...

La fete de la mer à Boulogne-sur-Mer a groupe beaucoup de bateaux à voiles. Il y avait deux voilers tres grands aussi - Belem de France et Mercedes du Pays-Bas. Le foret de mâts, cordes, spars avec le soleiel couchant derriere. Voulez-vous quelque chose plus? La vie est belle...

great composition with the sillouet of the boat against the beautiful coloured sky. Well seen and good exposure control.

Ce spectacle est grandiose et incite à la méditation!
Cependant, si en mer je voyais approcher un tel bateau, je craindrais une attaque de pirates car il est impossible d'identifier le drapeau!!!
Une présentation très artistique.

Kris, this is a great shot, the detail is super and the color in the bg is very good, the one hot spot does not detract much. Fine capture.

Bonjour,

Excellent ce contre jour. Bien net, bien découpé avec un fond qui dans sa diversité (bleu, blanc, gris) apporte une touche intéressante à la photo.
