In Cuxhaven sieht man die Schiffe, die aus dem Hamburger Hafen kommen oder dorthin fahren, relativ nah am Badestrand, für Landratten ist das ein ungewöhnlicher Anblick, die riesigen Schiffe und die kleinen Wattläufer

I was attracted very much by these huge ships, that seem to pass quite near - the children could run and enter...
But it´s not the effect Captain´s girl describes in her critique, this beach consists of mud with a few puddles half the day, until the tide is coming back. There is no sandy beach, only a dike. In german we call it "Wattenmeer", there are some islands lined up a few miles from the coast, and inbetween these islands and the coast there is only mud during ebb-tide. If you are quick enough, you can reach some of the islands by foot. (Better to join a guided tour, it´s dangerous if you come off the path). The town Cuxhaven is situated at the mouth of the river Elbe, and a great number of ships are passing to reach the harbour of Hamburg, some miles up the riverside.

Wow, this boat really looks enourmous! And the red color adds to this impression. Good framing, I like this photograph.

eine sehr interessante un ungewöhnliche Komposition! Die grazielen hüpfenden Leutchen geben einen guten Kontrast zum imposanten Schiff, hervorstechend auch die knallrote Farbe ... gute Arbeit!

Mir gefällt ganz gut der Kontrast zwischen dem Hellroten Schiff und dem Meer - und den Leuten im Vordergrund. Schöne Arbeit!

Neat shot of the kids playing in the wash from the ship...its quite an effect, I've witnessed many times myself, as the ship passes by the water gets sucked out and returns after it passes..kids love playing in the effects. TFS

That is pretty close! Like the red of the ship, it is immense! Good point of view you give us, with the people as a reference in size. And that is a very muddy beach ;-).

Surprising & unique capture. The water must be very deep for the ship to be so close to shore. Nice composition with people in foreground for added interest & scale & contrast. Regards. Latiff.

Ich bin eine "Landratte" und dieser Anblick ist in der Tat ungewöhnlich für mich ,aber faszinierend,so wie ich große schiffe immer toll finde,da ich sie so selten sehe.
Das Bild ist wunderschön mit den Kids im Vordergrund,denen man die Freude ansieht.Schöner Bildaufbau,tolles Licht Und mir gefällt der Kleine Zipfel des Wellenbrechers oben rechts.

Hallo Elvira. Dieses massige rote Schiff im Hintergrund. Was für einer Wucht. Wenn da nicht die kleinen Menschen im Vordergrund wären, würde jede Relation der Größenverhältnisse fehlen. Ein guter und sehenswerter photographischer Beitrag. Viele Grüße, wolfgang.

Great shot with an outstanding POV and an almost surreal contrast between red and greys.

Hallo Elvira!
Klasse foto! Zunächst einmal ist der Kotrast zwischen dem intensiven Rot des Containerfrachters und den braun-grauen Farbtönen der Umgebung ausgesprochen gelungen. Die durch das Watt watende Schülergruppe im Vordergrund ist richtig gut positioniert und verleiht Lebendigkeit.
Ich muss gestehen, dass ich richtig neidisch bin auf dieses Foto, da ich bereits mehrmals ähnliche Situationen hier in Hamburg fotografiert habe, ohne es aber jehmals so gut hinbekommen zu haben.

Une image hors du commun avec ce bâtiment industriel et ces personnes qui jouent juste devant ! C'est un joli contraste. Bravo !
