Photographer’s Note
This a panorama of Pangong Tso. Sorry for the stitching job which may not be 100% perfect, but the natural beauty of this lake could not be captured in a single photograph. This lake extends to Tibet ignorant of man made boundaries. Large beds of fine sand leading towards north west suggest that this lake would have been a source for a big river and the lake itself would have got its water from glaciers(which do not exist today but their marks can be seen) all around it. This lake supports a variety of flora (including some beautiful rose like flowers) and fauna (i spotted geese, brown-head gulls, himalayan marmots). To see all colours of this lake one has to stay there for a day & night.
