This is Dor. Dor is a rather down and out character who lives under the Saphan Taksin Bridge near the river in Bangkok. I was walking past a group of about 6 men who were quietly drinking there rice wine 'brew' from the cut off stump of a water bottle. Although a little bit intimidated by their looks, I nonetheless went and asked in my faltering Thai if I could take a photo or two. As with most Thais..they laughed and giggled and posed and..offered me some of their brew..which I hesitantly drank..aviation fuel comes to mind ! Dor is an amazing character... he tattoos people using a traditional steel stick and was all for giving me one there and then. He also makes the most amazing and intricate 'jewelery' from disused wire. I could not help but think that there was much more wisdom inside this man that we could ever tell from a cursory glance. I went back the following day and gave them (friends as well) copies of the photos...for which they were so polite and appreciative.
