Photographer’s Note
This is in a place called Bi Tan where they have peddle boats on a river and an almost carnival feel. There are lots of stands where kids (and adults) can play games, and lots of food stands too. It has a really festive feel.
This is an icecream stand, note the hooter at the top on the left hand side. Ice cream stands here make a sound like "baboo, baboo" which is Taiwanese for ice cream cone. At first I thought it was a scooter tooting it's horn wanting to drive by. I grew up with ice cream trucks playing "Fur Elise" by Beethoven, so it takes a little getting used to. In Taiwan the rubbish trucks play "Fur Elise" - so it's completely different.
I'd love to hear comments.

Hi Alanagh. I like how you have framed the scene through ice cream cart and I like the motion blur of the man against the sharper foreground. I think it would look good with an even longer shutter time and more blur too. Also, I would like to see a crop where things aren't quite so centered. I love Bitan myself, although I always seem to end up taking photos of the old guys playing chess and hanging out.
You interested in meeting to take photos tomorrow? I will be meeting with another photographer friend, but not sure where we will be going.
