[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This old barn has obviously "seen better days" in terms of use, but it continues to be viewed by visitors taking the time to explore the quaint village of Midway, Utah. I am among those likely to stop and photograph old barns so this one was a delight.

Gerald,
The old barn may have seen better days but at least it is still there. In my part of the country most scenes like this have long been replaced with subdivision. Your composition is great using the rail fence to lead the eye into the photo. The lighting and colors are great with nice sharpness and detail.

Asa

Great photo. I think I would it crop of the photo the wood that is in the bottom right. I feel the eye goes there first when it should go to the shed.

Hi Gerald,

Beautiful rural image of the Midway.Very good POV and nice colours.

Best regards,
Filipe

Hello Gerald

A picture perfect scenery, fine emphasis on colour and not overdoing it, love the POV and crystal clear image. This is so nice, well done.

Bonjour Gerald,
J'apprécie ces constructions rudimentaires et artisanales.
Joli point de vue et cadrage impeccable, aux couleurs très naturelles.
Bonne journée / Marlyse ;-))

What a lovely shot, the contrast and saturation are fantastic and depth and detail are superb.

Hi Gerald,
A compo much achieved; you used very wisely that fence and the sky enhances a certain dramatic feeling. Great clarity and colours.
Regards, José.

Hi Gerald:

I've been to Midway many times (in fact, I'm passing near there on Saturday), but I haven't taken the time to stop and photograph the rural scenery. Shots like this are a good incentive for me to stop--we'll see if I have time. I love your composition and those clouds, but the colors are the best part: rich without being overly saturated. Beautiful shot.

Wow, that sure is a old barn! The boards (or are those poles?) are spaced so far apart that it must let the wind rip through there in the winter. The fence cutting across the frame at an angle is a good touch, because it gives this a strong composition. Well done!

Hi Gerald,

Wonderful capture of this old barn with this pleasant scene in the background. Great lighting, wonderful colours and great details! Wonderful POV and well captured.

Greetings,
Ann

Damn good shot, Gerald!
All the right ingredients in it.
Compo, POV, DOF, colors, contrast and clarity... absolutely spot on.
Excellent framing too, I love it.
Just working my way across your gallery, y'know...
Man, I go to Utah like somebody else goes to Mecca...

Ciao,
Fulvio.

Hello Gerald,
This charming little barn would have caught my eye also with its uniquely western fence and rusted old roof. Excellent details to this simple log structure. The colors are very clear with excellent sharpness to this western landscape.
Regards, Tom
