This one is striking in the 'oblique directness' of his gaze, and your framing of his eyes to one side of the field. A forceful exposition, but somehow I am left with looking for more, perhaps a bit claustrophobic--a bit too close to the subject to the exclusion of more insight into his life in relation to his surroundings...IMHO.

Hi Suchitra,
From the thumbnail itself this photograph strikes out...having opened it I am not surprised that this one is indeed quite a striking photograph..the expressions of the character in the foreground is very intriguing to say the least..somehow I am not sure if the other hands and back ground figures help in any way...you could have gone for a vertical crop with only this character ...
my thoughts..
cheers!

Hello Suchitra,
First of all, congratulations for the prestigious prize you got! I have seen the photo from the link given in your TE page. That was wonderful..
This is also a great work. The expression says it all. Pretty striking expressions here. A little note would help to understand the situation though.
regards
Sayan
