Photographer’s Note
Taken from Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center, looking uptown (north/northeast) in Manhattan. The large green area is Central Park, which is between 5th and 8th Avenues and 59th and 110th Streets. On the left side you can see an opening in the trees and many white dots on the grass. Those are people sun bathing on a nice summer Sunday afternoon. On the right side of the park, below the lake, is a break in the green, and that is the Metropolitan Museum of Art. On the left side in the distance is the George Washington Bridge, which connects New Jersey to the Bronx, NY.
This picture was taken on the 70th floor of the observation deck on a fairly clear summer day. I recommend this trip to everyone for a great view of the NYC area. A trip up to the observation deck was $17, but I think well worth it. More information can be found on the official website: www.topoftherocknyc.com

What a great view of Central Park. I was not aware that you could go up Rockefeller Center. You get an interesting perspective of how the city wraps around this park.

Mike,
Nice shot, nice note. Detail in the distance is good and the color is good over all. Good Capture.

Hello Mike,
I just got back from my first trip to New York last week and I love your photograph! I couldn't find the time to go to the Rockefeller Center so I went to the Empire State Building instead. Your image is well composed, sharp and the lighting is beautiful. Central Park has to be the nation's greatest urban park, and you view of it is simply stunning!
Thanks for sharing.
Stan
