The second picture i've posted of this stunning landmark that overlooks the town of Burnley.
It stands high & alone on the wild heather covered moors making mournfull & haunting sounds as the wind resonates across the tube shaped branches.
I visited it for the first time on a wet & grey Sunday afternoon & i think it more resembled a whirlwind against the dark skies.
Can't wait to return on a clear day for the spectacular long views that it promises.

David Cortez.

Cool sculptures. It would be nice on a clear day. but the overcast day gives the photo a different mood.

Hola David or should I say Johnny Depp-to-be!
Buena composicion y magnificos colores.
Saludos,
Maria

Hi David

Great detail in the structure, and overall, given it was such a grey day. This does look an amazing artwork, quite remote too (unless there is a carpark just behind you!)

Regards

Very interesting post. In my mind it looks like a homage to the Blue Man Group.

Enrique

Hello,
a nice modern construction. It does not matter what it means, but I like it anyway

Hi David, I think I just prefer this over the previous post. You really get to see the detail, plus a real sense of power as it looms over the viewer. Not quite sure how it would look against a clear blue sky, the dull grey clouds seem to compliment it very well. All the best, Roberto

Hello David,
Great construction and very good photo of it.

Hi David,

A stunning sculpture and a good photo of it. Colours and detail are excellent here. I was going to mention before reading your note that when I saw the thumbnail for this photo my immediate thought was that it looks like a tornado. Love to hear the sounds from it on a windy day, must sound quite eerie if you are alone up there and can hear it. Nice subtle frame and a good note too.

Best regards,

Rich

Hi David,
This really looks like a fine piece of art and I would really like to hear it as well! You have made a fine capture here, the grey metal goes well together with the grey sky.

Gunnar

I expect this architectural excellence in the middle of the city but all I see is plan farm land. Very beautiful and your angle of capture is very good.

hello David,
lots of impact here. A strong subject handled very well. I like your background too. Good sharpness. Interesting subject, i love the idea of this "tree" singing in the wind.
regards
Bev

Hi David, what a wonderful structure and you have captured it brilliantly. Can you let me know exactly where it is as I lead walks and would love to do a walk in the area to include this site to experiance the sounds and sight.

Take care

Hi David
very nice shot, great sharpness and very nice light management. The "sculpture" hasa very nice dynamic. It must be nice to listing to it in a windy day :)
cheers

Amazing shape and I love the point of view you chose and your framing as well.

Good job

Regards,

David

Strange Sculpture. seems more of a tornado than a tree...
Even if the day wasn't god - the backgound goes very well witht sculpture - metalic grey :)
