| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
On this scanned image from a photo made in winter 2006 there is an evening view towards west from Schaida Sattel (1068 m).
Karavanke is a mountain chain forming roughly a border between Slovenia and Austria. It extends for 120 km and is the longest mountain crest in Europe. The highest summits exceed 2000 m mark, the most prominent being Stol (2236 m).
Southern or Slovenian approaches are more gentle and easier than those on northern or Austrian rocky side. |

The sky is very beautiful. It seems a great painter created that masterpiece on clouds.
It's not a photo. It's a painting!
Hi Mitja
beautiful! the light, the composition - all excellent. This is great work. i love the blue hue of the snow against that marvellous sky - well done!
