Photographer’s Note

A view of Bora's Lagoon and main island from a small boat during a small travell to Manta Ray Point for diving.

Colours of the Lagoon are fantastic with wonderful tones of blue and in a southern point also purple and pink, thanks, to the low water and the wonderful coral reef with that colours.

Unfortunally both our cameras crashed after 2 days that we arrived in Bora...and we bought a new small one just when a week later we arrived in Papeete.

Hello Paolo,

Your panoramic photo shows that the colors of the South Pacific are really different! This is a wonderful image with an appropriate name. Beautifully conceived and exposed.

I see that you are in architecture in Milan. I wrote a book on Leonardo, "Math and the Mona Lisa," and I am currently writing another for National Geographic, "Leonardo's Universe: the Renaissance World of Leonardo da Vinci." The publisher invited me submit a few photos of my own, and I do have the Sforza Castle. If you have any photos you would be very happy to submit with the credit, of course, to you. Your photos are as better than most professional photos, and I would be honored to have some in my book. Do you have any good shots of the recently recreated Leonardo Horse?

I can well imagine your consternation with the camera loss in such a beautiful place.
The colour of the water is really stunning. The pink clouds add an unusual element to the scene.

Yhe clouds looks a bit pinkish here, but maybe just as they where /after the scanner)..
Again a fine dream landscape presented Paolo with this little island in the lagoon and the low puffy clouds.

Superb colours, none of which have been dampened because of scan. Your title is very apt as the clouds do look like a hat over the rock outcrop. Lovely place & lovely shot!

I choose this picture this morning because the weather in France is so horrible : wind, rain, cold !
