That Brilliant Green Mosque
 |

Brilliant it was. It was quite something in the dying rays of the sun. It's quite old, but has been well looked after unlike it's British neighbour on the left thats just been left to decay (maybe for all of time!). I think that's what I like about this photo - the contrast between well looked after and neglected.
I was a bit hesitant to post this as i'm dissapointed with the sky, but i went back to the file and changed the curves and saturation on it and it looks slightly better. |

A shocking perspective and incredible green mosque... I agree that the sky could have been better, but still I like the whole.

Thats a fantastic wide angle. 12mm end? Perfect for these tiht streets, eh? The sky isnt bad. The green though is fantastic. Id probably convert many of your ueban shots to b/w but in this case with this great green, no way.
Hi Will - it's fascinating because:
1) a large mosque in a mostly buddhist land
2) this is probably the only photo of Moulmein on this site
3) not only that, this is probably the only photo of Moulmein that I've ever seen, it's definitely not on most visitors' itinerary, yeah the sky is a little dull but hey, it has plenty documentary value. Is it easy to travel in the panhandle of Burma nowadays?
