Photographer’s Note
Sometimes it's easy to forget how big the ocean seems when we look at shots of waves taken with telephoto lenses. Those show the sea closeups of the sea. But when you're at the sea the waves, even the big ones seem small because the sea fills your eyes from one side to another, God's ultimate surround sound and sight theatre.

A sharp shot on a beautiful day. You like your rocks and sea interface, don't you? :) However, despite lovely colours and textures, this isn't as good a composition as some of the others.
I tried to work, even though I was initially drawn to the photo, it's not quite satisfying. Here's my thoughts:
- The scrubby plants in the right foreground aren't particularly interesting, and detract rather than compliment the rest of the sea/landscape.
- The horizon looks odd, as the coast that comes up from the left and the curvature of the horizon at sea means that the sky-line is slightly wavy, which seems un-natural. I don't know whether the curve of the horizon at sea is due to the actual curve of the earth (seems too small a viewing angle for this), or perhaps distortion from a wide-angle lens?
- The sky very clear, which isn't anything you can chose here, but because of this you can see the steps of the gradient changes. Perhaps saving with less compression (the file is only 130kb) would help?
I hope you'll accept these comments in the constructive spirit they are meant; I like the photo, but it could have been better :)
