Photographer’s Note
Dear Friends...this photo was captured in the midst of the economical, political and social crisis in Argentina in 2002. This old man and his cart walked endlessly day & night, be it in rain or fog, to gather whatever he could for him and his family to survive.
An example of perseverance and faith in the search for better times... for a better life.
A lesson for life.
Regards,
Robert

Hola Robert,
Muy buena tu foto, la contraluz esta muy bien utilizada. Buen trabajo.
No me gusta el marco eso si, tres colores es mucho, y estos no combinan con los colores de la foto, en mi modesta opinion.
saludos

Hello Robert.
Good to see a post from you. Again, what marvelous light you've displayed here. The rays enhance the feeling of hope in the shot as well as the fact that the man is walking into those very rays. I like the simplicity here; any more would have killed the beautiful tones and sentiment.
Regards,
Chris.

Hi Robert,
Great shot, good note! The light is really beautiful and it's nice to see how it matches your story in a way. Walking towards the light... Despite everything still faith, still hopes for a better future and still walking towards the light. Nice one!

Robert I haven't seen you around here for some time. I hope things have been ok. I like this picture. The light coming from the background and filtering through the trees is almost Holy. It gives the illusion that the man is walking into a divine light. The effect is almost supernatural. Very nice colours and perspective to capture this beautiful moment and place. Thanks :-)

Hi Robert
A long time away from TE,but back with an astounding piece of art.
You have captured the light and the mood it creates and succeded in keeping everything in balance,no over exposition.
The light is telling him that better times lays ahead.

Absolutely wonderful photo with a good note explaining what you were capturing, making it even more powerful. The rays of light coming in are perfect. The empty road ahead, the morning sun, excellent.

Hi Robert,
This is a beautiful image. I specially like the sunrays. The shadows and light combination on the road is making it very pleasant. The man with his cart is really a philosophical and social touch to the image.
Great capture and very well presented.
Thanks

Good catch! In my opinion, it is the lust for life and we always run towards the source of energy- it's symbolic !

Great light! For me, what makes the shot is those wonderful light rays coming through the trees. The road really guides our attention down the middle of the frame, and of course the loan person on the cart creates a nice story. Well done!

Hello Robert,
Amazing backlight, where the humidity actually makes the sunrays visible!
Strong symbolism as the man is walking toward the light...
Story is very well told, but never will I approve of this border...

Hi Robert,
The rays of light the man is walking into from the shadows could have a symbolic meaning as well.
It's a beautiful compo with beautiful light and colors.

Hi Robert:
You're back! And with a vengeance! This is an excellent shot, both technically and for its symbolism. I was living in Chile when the economic crisis occurred, and I remember hearing about the plight of the Argentines--I had friends whose families were affected--so this one has a special significance for me. Fantastic in every respect--I can't think of any way to make it better. Well done.

Hola Robert :)
I'm so glad that You came back to us :). You weren't here so long and You back with beautiful image.
I like the composition with the man who is going towards the Sun, maybe toward the better life... Except that I like the sunrays and the shadows on the road, and rich colours on this picture.

All your photos make wonderful use of dramatic light and here we have another excellent example. The man walking towards the sunbeams couldn't be better to illustrate the point you make.
Well done and welcome back after your long break.

Robert:

Hi Robert,
Some well chosen angles in this shot to maintain the detail on the subject and mask the direct line to the sun. Great result, and very sympathetic with your note. Thanks.
