Photographer’s Note
At the base of the mountain I took Silence on the mountain from, is a rather dirty, grimy waiting station for the short and effortless cable-car trip to the top.
This was my third visit to Yandangshan, and the first time I've taken the cable-car. I have one more shot on the ride up, which isn't really TE-class material (I don't think, anyway)... if you're interested you can see it at my photoblog.

Bonne journée Lewis ! C'est une photo noire et blanche magnifique ! Combinaison des éléments de la géométrie et d'étude superbes dans léger et l'obscurité. Maintenir le bon travail !

I like your "isn't TE class material" better - sorry!!! This is OK but the other has more depth. It is a landscape but adds a sense of interest with the people in the cable car and what looks like a steep descent to the bottom. This looks, more to me, like a photo of a cable car structure. Yes, you can see the top but it's not as prominent in the photo. This has a sort of straight on angle (if you know what I mean) whereas the other one has a tilted, about to fall and die because your hanging out of the window of one those cablecars and you have to take the photo quick before you get hit by the next pole, kind of views. Hah. It's all opinion though.
So, closed mouth smiley for this but since the whole note is about the other one - an open mouth smiley.

This works well in Black and White, Lewis. It has a threatening and gloomy feel.I'm not sure, if I woudl have liked it more with a human figure in. Anyway,, it is a very moody picture, i like that. Regards kevin
