| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This is Magasin, the fanciest Danish department store. It stands on Kongens Nytorv (King's New Square) in Copenhagen. Every winter the building is decorated in a festive way. Copenhagen is a magical place and my favorite big city. It's very urban, very multicultural and yet there is something left of the old-fashioned Andersen storybook feeling. Quite a lot, actually. A place in my heart, Kobenhavn.
For the photo I used a wide angle perspective so that the billboard of luxury brand SAND would also be visible, enhancing the atmosphere of exclusivity in the area. I chose a small aperture in order to bring out the stars in the streetlights. The shutter speed was 10 seconds, I'm not sure why the site doesn't display this value. |

Great§ Very graphical, excellent atmocphere and perfect composition. I like the contrast between the pitch black and the white traces of light.

I like this photo a lot - the stark black-and-white works very well, and the simple frame enhances this. The blurred road adds a great dynamic to the picture. Composition is excellent. So I'm giving it two points :)
