Photographer’s Note
Taken on a cloudy day on the summit of Bald Rock, a large granite monolith, which is allegedly the 2nd largest in Australia, after Ayers Rock (Uluru). I like the 'Z' shape in the composition, & the unusual stripes, formed by water & snow-melt runoff mixed with humic acid from vegetation on the summit.
(It often snows here in winter.)
Vital satistics:
Bald Rock is 1,277 metres above sea level (about 4,000 feet). It towers about 263 metres up out of the surrounding bushland, is 750 metres long and 500 metres wide. Reputedly the largest exposed granite rock in Australia.
Does anyone know how to post a workshop to yourself ? The original uncropped image may interest some.

Jolie et impressionnante vue, mais je trouve qu'on ne ressens pas l'impression de grandeur du lieu, sont-ce des arbres; des arbustes ?

Both intereting and pleasing. I agree with you about the Z and the stripes, those are the elements that make the shot.

Very good composition with a balanced exposure. The stripes of colours on the rock add perspective to the image.

The more I look at it, the more I like it. It looks like a watercolour painting. Beautiful colour and texture and fine composition.

It has agood rugged feel to it. I lie the fact that you include the distant mountain at the top right a sit provides depth to this picture.

Looking at the original I think you cropped it well, Chris. Quite a unique - almost outworldish - pattern and texture this rock has, and the contrast and colors in your photo accentuate it really well. I guess a close-up of the striped rock area could result in a marvelous abstract piece of art. Well done.
