Photographer’s Note

Taken on a cloudy day on the summit of Bald Rock, a large granite monolith, which is allegedly the 2nd largest in Australia, after Ayers Rock (Uluru). I like the 'Z' shape in the composition, & the unusual stripes, formed by water & snow-melt runoff mixed with humic acid from vegetation on the summit.

(It often snows here in winter.)

Vital satistics:

Bald Rock is 1,277 metres above sea level (about 4,000 feet). It towers about 263 metres up out of the surrounding bushland, is 750 metres long and 500 metres wide. Reputedly the largest exposed granite rock in Australia.

Does anyone know how to post a workshop to yourself ? The original uncropped image may interest some.
