Beware! Penguins! Photo

Photographer’s Note

From the Coromandel Peninsula in NZ, there are some interesting signs. This one seemed especially out of place given the sunny day.

interesting sign post;-)) LOL other countries , other issues, i guess! in france sometimes, on countryside small routes, one can see cows or sheep crossing signs...good shot!

Hi Nick, Nice picture. Perhaps next time get out of the car so you don't see any of the car (if i'm right) in the photo. Just a bit better compo. The colors are perfect though. I like it.

Nice, fun picture!
However some small things could be done to improve this pic, the hoizon is tilted and a bit of the car shows.
I like the composition though and that sign is great!

Well, if the penguins have their nesting burrows in the area, there's all the cause in the world to drive carefully. Penguins aren't always associated with snow and ice. I saw fairy penguins at Phillip Island, AUS, and they came ashore at dusk after a wonderfully sunny day spent at sea fishing ;-)
About the photo, the first thing that struck me was the severe tilt of the horizon. Colours are good, though. I made a WS for you.

That's a sign you won't find in Belgium. Very funny seen the beautiful weather. Just a pity you have a part of the car on the picture.

Trés amusant et trés graphique. Les couleurs sont agréables. Seule critique, remettre l'horizon droit et enlever le rétroviseur dans l'angle.

Très inhabituelle comme photo...Moi je suis habitué aux traverses d'orignaux...pas aux pingouins. Peut-etre remettre l'horizon droit ?

Really humouristic picture with great colours.
But you should work your composition.
You should have placed the tree and the sign maybe on the right side.
And here you should also have cropped the bottom to avoid seeing the car.

I keep looking around for Mary Poppins, Dick Van Dyke and the rest of that motley penguin dance troupe. A great shot with a surreal background. That's what I alway remember about New Zealand. Excellent job.
