[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It is one of picturesque lakes on Karelian Isthmus
near Zelenogorsk (Terijoki). Original Finnish name of
this lake is Kauhujarvi that means lake of terror.
This name came from paganish times and maybe it was
connected with fatal death of people.
Russian name of lake is Beauty. Sandy hilly shores
with pines call for rest and amusements. In summer
time Beauty is excellent place for bathing in spite
of original name.

why lake of terror?

Hello Vitaly,
Nice scene with sharp colour contrasts, the trees in foreground give life to your photo,
I prefer the Russian name, Lakes of Beauty.

Although this lake is far to north but remind ours in Augustow - Poland. Good composition.
