Photographer’s Note
I've often photographed this old boat-shed amidst trees and morning glory vines.
This time I was across the lagoon and the water was rippled by a light breeze. I used a slow shutter and polarizing filter to blur the reflection.
In Photoshop, I rotated and cropped so the rectangular shape of the shed and its reflection aligned with the edges of the photograph. The "rule of thirds" (subject in the upper 1/3, mirrored image in the lower 2/3) came about by virtue of the camera's position low to the ground.
Black-and-white or colour?
I wish I'd saved the original to show alongside, but it has moved on to the Windows trash-can so its pixels can be recycled into newsphotos of Paris Hilton or Britney Spears.
