Photographer’s Note

This was a photo made in one of nine funiculares existing in the city of Valparaiso during one tour of 13000km that I made in 35 days for Argentina and Chile in the last summer. "Valpo", as its people call affectionately, is the biggest port of Chile a charming city that was chosen by the great Chilean poet, Pablo Neruda, to live, in a known house as "la Sebastiana" OBS. The house in first plan is not the Neruda's house.

Daí do alto tiramos fotos com uma Llama chilena, avistando todo este porto... Um passeio interessante até Viña del Mar.

Olá João Eduardo!
Quando estive no Chile, depois de ouvir alguns depoimentos ruins sobre Valparaíso eu acabei trocando o dia de visitá-la por mais um de esqui em Vale Nevado. Vendo a sua foto aqui, percebo que talvez eu tenha uma dívida com este lugar, que me parece aprazível e pitoresco. Uma bela foto! A casa em destaque é fundamental para a boa composição!

Hola Joao,
This is an excellent POV. I hope I have the opportunity of taking a similar photo when I visit this city next year. I sure wouldn't like to sleep in that blue house - looks like a long way down!!
We were thinking of going to Rio but there's too much rain in February. Perhaps another year!
