Photographer’s Note
Although partially blurred and colors almost impossible to restore, this photo deserves, in my opinion, to be shared with the TE community. Together with my "dancing villagers" and "little market near Korinth" it forms an ethnological document about how was daily life in Greece in 1961. The feverish rhythm of the genuine Greek music (no rebetika nor bouzoukias though: clarinet and guitars will do)is still in my mind...

You captured a wonderful momment here, I would preffer to be more to the left to have in the image also the face from the clarinet player.

Hello Jean-Paul,
What a wonderful picture and how much I would like to hear this music again.
I was for the first time in Greece in 1981, twenty years after you, and even that world - which still evokes strong memories - is now lost.
If you have still more pictures o the 1961 trip, I would love to see them.
Best regards
Jelle
