Photographer’s Note
Ruby Beach in Olympic National Park on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington. The park itself boasts what has to be the most diverse array of ecosystems anywhere in the United States. In the center you'll find the Olympic mountain range, with challenging hiking and climbing options abound. On the west side of the range are the beautiful temperate rainforests including Hoh, Quinault, and Queets. The coast of the peninsula is possibly the most undeveloped and remote beaches anywhere in the continental US. One of the most scenic is Ruby Beach.
