Photographer’s Note
Burnham Beeches is a nature reserve just across the road from where I teach. It is owned by the Corporation of London, and was originally meant for Londoners to have a day out in the 'country.' It is now being maintained carefully, to bring it back to nature - there is a mire, there are rare species, and lots of Muntjac!
This was taken at 3pm, 50 yards from a road.
