Photographer’s Note
My second posting on elk in Sask, this photo really appeals to me because of the triple head portrait aspect of these three elk. The farmer told me that the elks horns grow faster than any other organ. That fact may need further investigation on the net. I do know that many orientals like the elk's horns for making aphrodisiacs. Perhaps a different breed than those I saw in Jasper park, but these elk were very huge in stature. Very impressive creatures indeed!

Hey Paul....
I prefer the composition of this one a bit more then the other as there's no bright furry butt distracting and all 3 heads are clearly visible. Interesting to see the molting patterns of long winter hair and the shorter hair.
The only thing I find about this shot Paul is that it's not quite as sharp as the previous...
All the best Paul, it's good to have you back...

Hi Paul,
Nice shot of the Saskatchewan Elk here. The pov and composition is really nice and the colors seem so natural for the setting. Great work and good to have you back. Good to have you back. Gerald

Hey Paul. I think I like this one more than the first one you posted mostly because their pose is better. Even though you took it at the same time somehow the light seems better too. tfs Paul!
