Photographer’s Note
Famous Shwedagon pagoda is located in the middle of Yangon city surrounded by Kandawgyi lake, public parks, the zoo and many restaurants. It is the most visited and photographed pagoda in the city by tourists and local people. This scene is Shwedagon from afar with the view point of Kandawgyi lake. It was around 6:30PM and the sunset in its best color. The birds are returning to their favorite paradise trees to rest for the day. Under the magnificent power of Buddha, the water is calm and the palm trees pay their respect quietly.
Did crop left, level, saturation, brightness/contract, sharpness and motion blurred.

A novel view of the famous pagoda, from the lake (this is the same as Royal Lake? Where was it from - the big Karaweik boat? I really like this. Only thing I'm not totally in love with is the saturation, which is bit too much for my taste.

Beautiful composition. The colors are great. It's all golden. The birds in the sky really add to the atmosphere, too. Really brings not only the sight but the sounds. And the river really draws me into the scene nice and lazily just like the relaxing setting it is. Very beautifully done.

This is an excellent shot, Way. Somehow, the subtle colors make the scene very rustic. The motion blur, I know, is in there but also very subtle. This picture is an image of subtlety. Maybe it reflects the kind of place Burma is. I like this.
Still debating whether to go to Burma or Laos (Luang Prabang) this 26th-29th of the month? This picture (along with you many other shots) suggests that I should go to the former.

Love the composition and the contrast between the tranquility of the river, and the movement of the birds... only concern: the colors look somewhat artificial (but that is only my taste).

The colours are marvellous, look like taken from a computer-generated fantasy movie. Very good composition too. IMO, I would adjust the curves, escpecially the highlights, downwards to get deeper moods. The sky a bit too bright, I think.
