Photographer’s Note
Qutb-ud-Din-Aibak (Mughal Emperor) began building Quwwat-ul-Islam Masjid, the first mosque in India (from where I have taken the shot).
The Ashoka iron pillar stands in the courtyard in front of the mosque.
The pillar, which was built during the Gupta Empire (a Hindu empire in India from 320 to about 335AD), may be a tribute to Hindu God Lord Vishnu. It is made of such pure iron that it has never rusted.
According to legend, anyone who can encircle the pillar by standing with their back to the pillar and clasping their hands together will have his wish granted.
Sadly there is a fence around and you cant get your wishes granted anymore. (What a let down!!)

Nice perspective. Can you move a bit more into the frame so that the left and right columns are less dominant? There is also a strange halos around the columns.

to be honest i think this is one of the best architectural compositions ive seen on trekearth. it's a pity that you havent got too many comments for this one. what i really like here is your perspective. it's very innovative and different. i dont know why thien wanted you to move more into the frame . i think view is perfec because now youve also brought the arch over the ashoka pillar outside this building perfectly between those 2 pillars. the people outside add life to this composition and im happy that there isnt anyone closer than that. for a change i find a nice tranquil moment in delhi and i want to enjoy it :)
also im so happy about your viewpoint from below using a wide angle lens.
it's creating a lot of magic here and the lack of comments doesn't do this photograph of yours any justice
take care :)
