Hello Gil,
I like very much your photo in which you've produced a group portrait of Japan's lifesaving team. The simple, but elegant competition, has the compelling star as the simple, minamalist Japanese flag. There must have been other photographer(s) — probably other Japanese tourists — also taking photos, as most of the members of the group are not looking directly at you. This is is a good. You don't want to intrude yourself in the subject itself, but simply chronicle it without changing it. If there is one constructive criticism I would suggest in a photo like this is to use a fill flash, in order to illuminate the faces of the group. But this is a very good photo as it is.
Regards from Virginia,
Bulent
