Photographer’s Note

The Olympic Stadion in Berlin was central to the 1936 summer olympics, the infamous nazi propaganda festival. The stadion is a typical example for "nazi architecture". For more information and for an image of the complete stadion see:

These days it hosts mainly games of local football (soccer) club "Hertha BSC Berlin", the image shows some of the crowd waiting to enter the stadion for watching a game of their team. Hertha lost 0:1 against Dortmund.

Hi Michael. I really like the feel of being amongst the crowd and jostling forward that this image engenders. The feeling is enhanced by the importance given to the giant towers towards which everyone is heading. I like it B+W too.
