Sforzesco Castle
Is a castle in Milan, Italy, that now houses an art gallery. Original construction on the site began in the 14th century. In 1450, Francesco Sforza began reconstruction of the castle, and it was further modified by later generations. It currently houses an art collection which includes Michelangelo's last sculpture, the Rondanini Pietà, and Leonardo da Vinci's Codex Trivulzianus manuscript.

Hello Jack,
I could not pass by the image without offering a comment. Last summer, July 18 to be exact, I spent 30-minutes at the Santa Maria Della Grazi communing with Leonardo's 'Last Supper.' Then I saw the Ambrosiana down the street from the Sforza Castle, where I saw some of Leonardo's codices, Raphael's cartoon for the 'School of Athens,' and Leonardo's portrait, the 'Musician.' Having written a book on Leonardo, I was in Seventh Heaven in Milan. There simply was not enough time to see the Sforza Castle, but this is where Leonardo spent the better part of two decades — years when he produced some of the most spectacular works in the history of our species. I am grateful to have come across this image. If you are interested in Leonardo, as your excellent note suggests, take a look at Leonardo's Dream.
Warm regards,
Bulent
