Photographers Note
Aya Tekla underground church in Silifke,Mersin,Turkey.
i couldnt have a chance to see inside but i am impressed of its story.
Aya Tekla is the first female saint in
Christianity, student of St.Paul who is one of the apostles of Jesus. She was very impressed of St.Paul and spent her life to spread Christianity to around and its believed that she spent her last years in this cave church and lost there...
Now after her loss, people made it church, as it is important for the religion.
i ll update if i find further information, and i ve just heard some festivals are made in Netherlands for the sake of her..i would like to hear about it..

Merhaba Leyla:)
Thanks for sharing this photo.
Regards, Linda
St. Tekla was an early convert to Christianity who broke off her engagement to devote herself to God. Her vengeful fiancé tried to kill her by various means, all of which were thwarted by divine intervention. The legend tells us that she hid in a grotto in the cliff around which a convent was built.

Hello Leyla,
An excellent photo with a very good job by you of only including the essential elements and not zooming out and adding non-essential details. You have a great photographer's eye. How old is this church and this ornate door anyway? Well done!

Hello Leyla,
Usually is not the profitable initiation of such symmetry to the picture, but does not refer this some seizures which inherently of such symmetry demand. The symmetry of this picture very it answers to me. Possible that I would show a little more the wall which creates the good atmosphere for the main theme. Tincture and the quality of photo very nice, please.

Merhaba Leyla,
Oldukca basit, fakat sahane (Simple, elegant) kare. Perspektif, renkler, netlik harika!
Siz galiba Mersin/Adana tarafinda oturuyorsunuz. Benim yakin arkadasim vardir, Osman Faruk Logoglu, Princeton Üniversitesin'de beraber doktora talebesiydik. Yillarca sonra Washington'a Büyük Elçi olarak tayin olmustu. Iki yil evel maalesef Ankara'ya döndü.
Selam ve saygilar,
Bülent
