Very well done! Very nice to see the separsation between the building and the surrounding sky. It really stands out. It must have been really light that day, looking at the photo info. Black and white conversion with the channel mixer?

Image trés année 50, où il est vrai que les gargouilles se distinguent bien. L'ensemble, dépouillé des autres édifices voisins, est bin mis en valeur par ce noir et blanc.

impressionant gratte ciel, encore plus de ce point de vue en très forte contre plongée, dans ton thème sur ce building, on peut l'apprécier sous -presque- toutes les coutures, ici la composition est très réussie du fait de l'orientation de la lumière, du POV, du très bon cadrage, et les nuages ce qui donne une bonne illustration du mot "gratte-ciel"

I never get tired of the magnificent Chrysler building, and this is one of my favourites of your recent NY photos.
The viewpoint really emphasises the imposing scale of the building and I like the desaturation and high contrast you employed here.

Hi JB,
Impressive building and the way you composed it is even more impressive. The way up is a long way, and that shows...very good on that point.
The conversion is very nice, with that touch of blue still in the sky although on the edges of the building there are some hard lines...but i like the way you made this very much.
Clouds on the right maybe a bit to bright...clipping highlights. With a mask you could paint that back to reduce them...or was it on purpose to show it like this?
Nevertheless a strong and dynamic picture...like it a lot.

A great shot of this huge building, your perspective is nice and the sharpness and details are wonderful. Black and white was definately the right choice as it suits the building and brings everything out well including the sky.

LOL bien vu l'angle on dirait un des missiles de W pointes vers Teheran... Pas mal ton PP je trouve qu'il met bien en valeur les structures de ce batiment qui est de loin mon building prefere a NY.

Hi JB. Effective use of the upward angle on this beautiful and iconic Manhattan highrise. The high-contrast treatment and other post-work turned out well, although I think that in portions of the photo the sharpness is going a bit overboard. But nice work overall.

ce plan dans contre-plongé détache la sveltesse et la belle architecture de cet édifice, mon favori aussi de NY.
Il y a une grande perspective ici, semble que l'édifice veut sortir tiré vers le ciel comme une fusée.
La basse saturation donne sur la photo une apparence de noir et blanc qui fait l'image la plus impressionnante et mystérieuse. Les détails architectoniques, comme les gravures dans les corniches et les gargouilles merveilleuses, sont très bien mis en valeur sur ta photo.
J'aime bien, c'est un grand travail.

PS : je ne savais pas que l'on peut accéder à l'intérieur du vestibule de ce bâtiment, mais je l'ai vu sur des photos et c'est une véritable merveille. Quand j'aille à nouveau à NYC, évidemment, j'entrerai là.

Coming in close for your upwards POV has worked really well to dramatise this wonderful building. The partial de-saturation has an excellent effect on the graphics and making the sharpness really bite. Well done.

On voit que tu l'aimes ce building et tu le lui rends bien. Encore une très belle photo qui lui donne une sacrée dimension donnant presque le vertige. J'aime beaucoup le traitement qui donne un côté mystérieux au moment. Très belle réalisation, bravo JB.

Vue qu'il s'agit d'une edifice classique, le n&b marche bien ici. Excellente nettété et on voit bien l'hauteur. Les nuages complémentent bien.

I agree with you, this is a picture worthwhile to be posted, although the Chrysler building might be one of those over represented at TE. Your POV gives an extraordinary apperaence giving a great represetnation of the the geometrism with the uppwards trending lines, almost into the endless. I like to see the gargoyles so well.

Another one of your wonderful skyscraper shots.
I am really impressed how you manage to take these close up shots from a low pov without making it look cramped, it never works for me.
It looks like a B+W and yet you marked it as color?
