Photographer’s Note
Hey there!
After a long long time of absence on TE I'll post some new photographs. I hope you'll like them...
The Emporer's crypt is one part of the imperial Cathedral of Speyer, giving a resting place for 13 German Emporers and their wifes. Also several bishops are buried in stone-caskets. 3 bishop's caskets are shown on the left in this picture.
The Cathedral of Speyer (Spey'rer Kaiserdom)was built by the emperors and designated as their last resting place as a symbol of their power. Construction began around 1030 under the Salic Emperor Konrad II and it was consecrated in 1061. Under Heinrich IV renovations and extensions were undertaken.
Some more information about the world heritage of Speyer!

Good to see you back on TE!
A very nice photo of the crypt with a nice play of light and shadow. Also the warm colours are pleasing. You chose a good POV, well done!

Hi Thorsten,
Not easy to take photos in such a place, I think. Nice job.
Light and shadow are captured in a artistic way. Excellent perspective.
Very well done.
Regards,
Maria do Carmo
