[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This blind sitar player was performing in the City Palace grounds - the music of Rajasthan has an ethereal, haunting quality and this particular man performed with such equisite grace; it was a pleasure to both watch and listen to him play.

Hi Tracey,
I was taking a look at your gallery and am truly impressed. You seem to be in love with India and that is showing in your images. This one is a classic, I like it all the more because it is not the usual touristy images, you have tried to delve deeper and capture the emotions. Perfect timing, good details including the hint of an uncut beard, a very professional looking work.
With Greetings from India

Hi
Just a word to tell you that this is not sitar!
It is a 'tampura' used as a drone...
By the way... i forgot to tell you i like this compo which has good framing and excellent compo.colors and sharpness are fine too... nice expression of the tampura player!
Best regards
Laurent

Hi Tracey,
A beautiful portrait of this man, you have captured the emotion of the man and I can almost hear the music. Nice and sharp with great details, and nice light.
Regards
Wanda

hi tracey,
simply love the look on his face - nice work!
thanks,
dora

Hello Tracey
Interesting diagonal line, mans hair parting at up right. Sitar line and mans enjoyed, touched feeling to sitar.
Good timing to make a sound. Tunefull picture.
Regards
Jussi

Hi Tracey,

True magic. Like in a trance he is one with his instrument. Perfect composition, the diagonal line of the sitar, the DoF, the position of the man. Wonderful!!

Greetings, Dennis

Hi Tracey, another fabulous portrait. Tightly cropped to the essentials and good use of the available light. The frame is perfectly divided by the neck of the tampura. Sharp detail too. Excellent work, Roberto

Hi Tracey,
i discover now yhis fantastic shot.i cant say more that it is a great emotion!

Hello Tracey,
I like a lot this photo. There is a lot of photos of musicians on TE, but they are not all successful as this one. This one touches me. I can feel his emotion, his vibe. He seems to be in a trance, fully, completely involved in his music. And I like it. Good color and nice blurred background. An adequate framing. You know how to do your job. Love this little detail: the fingers ready to touch the cords... Hmmmm... Truly enjoyable. I just miss the music! :))
Claire

I don't even miss the music...
I can actually hear it.

Magnificent presentation, Tracey

Have a great weekend
george

Superb image, triptych almost as it is splitted in 3 sections, forming a whole that indeed speaks of the perennial attraction music begets on people. I like both the complexity of the composition, and the simplicity of the message it delivers. But F/4 again....Aie!......
