Photographer’s Note

Very quiet day in A'dam. It isn't so sunny, but time flows so slowly. We are in the historical beld of gracht. Houses are typical, and the small boat reinforce the quietness of the scene. I've found B&W is very adapted to this composition, to focus our attention.

Very nice shot Nicolas - and you are right about the B&W - it works well here. Excellent good range of tones with good contrast. Very peaceful scene. Regards, Roberto

Salut Nicolas,

You have a lot of exceptional pictures in your gallery and I find this one a little behind the others... Sorry about being so honest... I find the composition quite packed, even with a washed out sky I guess the picture would benefit from a little space on the top as well as on the botton... The B&W tones are very nice and the contrasts are well rendered.
