Silver Falls I Photo

Photographer’s Note

This photo is of one of the ten waterfalls in the Silver Falls State Park located in the Willamette Valley just East of Salem, the State Capitol of Oregon and not far from Silverton, Oregon.

The full hiking loop to see all 10 waterfalls (from South Falls to North Falls) is a moderate hike of 6.9 miles, gaining 700 feet of elevation. I do recommend that if you have a day to go hiking.....this is the place to go....

Beautiful photo. It looks like the water is coming from no-where. Very nice clear image and lovely colour to it. Well captured.

Wounderful Northwest landscape with all the vibrant green moss clinging to rocks, trees and vines before we see this lovely slender waterfall crashing down to the floor of this forrest wonderland.

I return on this photograph which I had admired without managing to comment on it. It is like a sight through wood of a stag. Very natural and very woodland.
I used a software to translate:
Je reviens sur cette photo que j'avais admiré sans arriver à la commenter. C'est comme une vue au travers des bois d'un cerf.

A nice, short hike with beautiful sights I imagine :-) Very well composed picture with the cascade taking a prominent focal point. Colour again are well saturated but I find the image a bit soft. Not a bad thing though. The framing of the water is excellent and give the image a sense of remoteness. Well done Bettina Marie :-)

What an amazing shot!
The nature in itself looks magnificent here and the way you have captured that impression is just perfect for the viewer.
The greens of the forest looks great, deep tones of colour, and with the addition of the white waterfall this scene is perfect.
