Walking around the Beguinage Photo

Photographer’s Note

Today was a lovely sunny day to do some touring or just sit at the terrace of a café and look at people go by. I did both and took the picture of this cute Beguine convent which looks like a small village of another age inside a busy city centre. Every step you take, you can feel the cosy and quiet atmosphere that reigns in here.

J'ai cru qu'il s'agissait d'une vue du béguinage de Bruges, avec ces maisons blanches immaculées. L'endroit y ressemble beaucoup. Belle image bien composée et bien exposée.

je connais très bien cette ville y étant né...
Le béguinage est vraiment très beau comme toute la ville! N'ayant jamais trouvé (ou pris) le temps de retourner dans ma ville natale avec mon apareil, tes photos viennent de me relancer, merci à toi!

On se croisera ss doute un jour, j'habite Mouscron, je passe souvent à Lille et Courtrai.

Je vois que les béguinages flamands ont la cote! Ils sont tous classés au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO d'ailleurs.
Son style ressemble un peu à celui de Bruges dans les facades, mais semble aussi un peu plus exigu.
