Photographer’s Note
Castaway Island Resort is 30km from Nadi in the Mamanuca Group Islands. We have been to this beautiful spot 4 times with our family. The water is warm, the people are even warmer. This photo was taken from "Monkey Rock" looking back towards the cocktail bar.
I wanted to capture the blue sky, blue waters and show how clear the water is there.

Hi Jamie
This place lookds beautiful and I just love the turquoise transparent water. The image is well composed with the rocks in the foreground and the stunning beach with the palm trees and sailboards decorating the background. I like those billowing clouds on the horizon. As it's not as sharp as it could be, I did a little workshop for you.

Hello Jamie,
Great shot, I spent some time in this area a few years ago, I remember driving a large boat past this island while the captain had a smoke! The waters here were stunning as you say. I hope you got to visit tiny Honeymoon Island, just around the corner - the snorkelling there was second to none. Excellent lighting, good composition with the rocks and shallow waters. The frame helps greatly in terms of presentation. A sharpen would help, as seen in Cherry's workshop. Well done.

Hi Jamie,
It's the beautiful, rich colours that make this such a lovely photograph. Good composition too. The water looks so warm and inviting. I like the line of kayaks on the beach that give the image a colourful focal point.
Thanks for bringing such an idyllic place to our attention!
All the best from England,
Rich

Another nice composition with good color. I would like to see it a bit sharper (like cherryripe's workshop) but other than that it's really good.

nice one Jamie!
I'm freezing in my office right now and this really warmed me up. "Wish I was there" is what the caption should read!
I'm so there!
Of course great shot technically with your exposure settings and comp...but man, take me there!

Hi Jamie, excellent shot of paradise, enough to make me consider a trip. Your composition is very good your colours excellent with very good saturation levels. Depth of field might have been just a tad higher to bring out the boats on shore a little better, or you might do some selective sharpening.
Thanks, John

Jamie,
I'm still giggling to myself at the very idea of Castaway Island "Resort" !!!! :)
Nevertheless, you've done pretty well here, including a couple of layers of rock in the foreground - very pretty rock too - has given a compositional form and depth to the image.

Colin
