Czesc, po raz drugi dzisiaj.
Beautiful scene - it seems to coming directly from a film.
Excellent composition.
The black part adds a lot of mysterious mood to this shot.
I like it : it talk to my emotions.
Pozdr. G.

Jerzy this is an interesting picture. The large section of black on the right create mystery. It makes me want to know what is behind there. The silhouette of the man against the bright courtyard is very well captured. Good use of black and white to create the mood. Thanks Jerzy :-)

A very nice composition J - the scale of the figure - the sparse details - the impact of where it is all make for a picture with a story to tell - I think all the times I went here it was never so empty of people - there's a strange 'phosphorus band' down the image - is that the result of some pp - do others see it?
best wishes Kev

YES !!!!!!
Bucki THE ONE...
Marvelous catch, Jerzy...
Any way you may present it, it's good...Simply GOOD !!!
The theater of shadows in its pure amazement.
You would show it in the vertical mode, yet…ANY WAY you do, it is able to spark the emotions.
It's the 'stuff' Jerzy… Good 'stuff'…
Stay cool, dude

Doczekałam zmroku, żeby móc w pełni rozkoszować się partią cienia. I nie rozczarowałam się. Zdjęcie prezentuje się jeszcze piękniej. A emocje skaczą do zenitu. Wspaniałe zdjęcie. Pozdrowienia T.

great and very interesting composition! :-)
the b&w is of course awesome, exellent choice, again, and so is keeping 3/4 of the photo covered under a big black "veil" - which actually shows a fine structure and the dark silhouetted religious man in front of the very
bright courtyard.
well seen & captured, thor.

Very nice Jerzy. Love your exposure and your compo here. The mood is incredible and this giant mass of black really works to concentrate all the tension in the lit area. Amazing.
PS. As Kev noticed, I also found a strange band across the left vertical third of the photo. I wonder if it's a D200 'bonus' or just a pp issue.

Kompozycyjnie to jest piękne. Podejrzewam jednak, że zdjęcie przekazuje 5 procent klimatu... To i tak wiele.
Pozdrawiam.

At first I disliked all that blac...but then I started liking it. The good thing is that the man doesnt blend in with it too badly. His head is clearly visible and discernable, and that makes this work for me.

Pokazałe¶ tak mało w ¶wietle dnia, a tak wiele emocji wznieciłe¶ tym kadrem. Ciemny zarys postaci starego człowieka, wyrastaj±cej z czerni ¶ciany. Postać złamana w modlitewnym pochyleniu mówi wszystko co powinno do nas dotrzeć. ¦wietna praca!
Pozdrawiam,
Jurek

Problably not the best one of this travelogue, Jerzy, but I sure applaude you for the originality of the composition. What a big back he has here. I wouldn't see a photo opportunity here - not enough light conditions, but then, you can take such good photos out of the unexpected places.
Love the way you have composed many of your photos, half people/ half context.
Impressive collection of Israel.
Enjoy the weekend,

Zdjecie wydaje mi sie symboliczne, w sposob niewymuszony, naturalny..
z pozdrowieniami, A.

Absolutely superbly composed...elegaic, intimate yet distant. And the massive tonal range!

Very creative photo, could the black portion be a metaphor of his mind, too many thoughts ?
Thanks, Alain -
