Photographer’s Note

The ethnographic museum Etar, situated 8 km south of the town of Gabrovo.
The place is very romantic, with terrific surroundings (it is in the Balkan mountain).
The museum territory covers an area of 7 ha and comprises 50 sites - water technical equipment, houses with craftsman's workshops, places with social importance. The aim of the museum display is showing the architecture, the life style and the economic past of Gabrovo region during the Renaissance period - the second half of 18 and the 19 centuries.

I alway like these museums, and noted that the Rough Guide particularly recommends this one, but I didn't get there yet. This shot makes it look very appealing, though the houses look as though there should be more timber visible, rather like in Nessebar. I wonder if I can do a work shop to raise the tone of the eaves, and show more detail.... no, there's nothing there to raise.

I like the way you presented the wonderful architectural style, Nelly! The cobbled narrow street brings nice perspective and the contrasting colours of the houses add a lot of atmosphere. Well done.

I love this, and I hope to see it one day for myself. It shows a peaceful and harmonious lifestyle as well as the knowhow.
Great deatils and I like how the angled the little street.

Nice perspective and point of view. The street is really attractive with the low buildings and low windows. All the roof lines are nicely captured, too. I like the foggy feel or misty feel hiding the trees on the hill in the distance and giving this street a soft, clean, feel. Nicely done.
