[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The harbour of St-John's, when the winter spirits work together against the fishermen. The Temperature, freezing the water and the Wind, pushing the ice in the harbour.

The original is a color picture. But I prefer the B&W version. I just played a bit with the contrast because it was a bit too gray (probably due to the B&W print from a color negative).

Speciel version, good work on the B/W, the composition with the ice line make good perspective.

Nice shot Nicolas, the lead in created by the central fissure is great as it also spreads around the ice before reaching the boat. The foreground framing also works well.
It looks like signs of burning in around the rigging and horizon but not to bad.

I like very much your photo, I find well made a success gradations, composition and subject really well found. Good shot!
