Photographer’s Note
Takins are the national animal of Bhutan. They are native to the country, and a very unusual species. Scientists cannot decide exactly what the history of this animal is, since it seems to be unrelated to anything else. This picture was taken at a small nature preserve, located on the hill overlooking Thimphu.
