Photographer’s Note
Attending an early morning marathon to support your girlfriend is a great excuse to wander off and snap some shots.
The swan bell tower is an interesting addition to the Perth cityscape.
Had some fun in PS tweaking the curves in this shot.

Hello Damon,
I have not been to Perth, but I am well aware of this Swan Bell structure, I think I saw it in the show the Amazing Race once, which I only watched for the travel values. Never before have I seen this in greyscale, it looks very good, I like the nice tone gradients and clarity the colour choice provides. Perth has an excellent skyline, and you have caught a good and unique slice of it here. A good low to the ground point of view helps to boost the feel of elevation for all of the builings, very well done.

Hi Damon,
I think the B&W works well for the Bell Towers. They really have made such a mess around it with traffic lights, signs, bollards and so on - real shame that they have made it so hard to really stand back and get a good look at it. The B&W does a great job in hiding all the distractions around the Bell Tower, nice perspective looking slightly up to make the Bell Tower appear much larger than the sky scrapers at the rear.
Cheers Jamie.

Hey Damo,
I like the original POV on this shot. A unique perspective on the bell tower. Brings back fond memories of waiting for you guys on this street to come pick me up from work with goldy and our boards to go for a mid day shred.
Dig the curves. chat soon,
shreddy eddy
