Photographer’s Note
On the main road that bypasses around Jericho and just a few kilometers north of the Dead Sea.You can actually see the outskirts of the city to the left.A shame that it is not possible to visit what is regarded by many as a very interesting place for its history. The mountain range at back overlooks the Bikaa Valley, the River Jordan and of course Jericho.

Hello David -
Very nice scene and here the road works as a strong leading line into the foothills. Why can't you visit Jericho? Palestinian Territory? This looks so much like the desert in California I feel like I am home again. Well done!
Thank you for sharing.

Hi David!
Amazing depth and good contrast with the dark asphalt.Your POV is well choosen and I like the soft colors of the sky and the yellow of the deserted mountans in the distance.

Hi David,
Wonderful combination of wonderfully bright warm colors surrounded the dessert highway. The vibrant blue sky and the lovely clouds make this photo a winner.

Hi David,
that is a very pleasant composition. The road leaving in the far end but the eye is following, vertical format to raise this impression, mountains in the background and a wonderful blue sky with spots of clouds. All that with good colours, contrast and DOF.

Hi David,
very nice photo with beautiful colours and lighting. The desert looks very impressive. It reminds me of a trip to the USA when we traveled through Nevada.

Hi David. This is a little different to our dessert road. (a lot more dessert like ;-). Excellent colour and composition with good depth. Well timed also to get a few interesting clouds in the sky. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.

Hi David
Looks more like the western USA, than Israel. The road adds good lead in lines & linear perspective. Good color & sharpness. Tfs!

Hi David,
Wonderful point of view for the infinite road .. thoughtful desert scene the hill on the left is tremendous .. the color and tone are wonderful .. you have communicated the desert heat and starkness without blinding us with brightness.
take care,
John

Hi David,
I like the perspective of the road here leading us into the shot and the angle of view that you have used is great for the composition. The bright light makes for a crisp and clear image, and I like the fluffy clouds in the very blue sky.

great shot, david! :-)
terrific pov and composition with the street stretching through the shot with the nice hills
in the back and the great sky above.
the only "bothering" me a little is the distribution of one half road and one half sky,
i prefer the 2/3 to 1/3 if possible.
well seen & captured, thor.
